You ever have one of those mornings where you knew you were operating at "full capacity"? Yesterday was one of those days for me. They don't happen often, but when they do - you just know its going to be a good day. I hopped on to TriviaOnNet for a little multiplayer trivia action and decided I was going to go after their progressive jackpot - which stood at just over $6000. I'm a huge fan of trivia (if thats possible) and have been on a bit of a winning streak this past year - winning some minor cash prizes and a fairly large prize from an online contest earlier in the summer. So, I deposited a couple dollars in my account and decided to test my luck. In the first game, I got pretty far - I believe 9 or 10 questions in a row - but fell short of the 12 needed to be "in the money". On my second try of the day, I was encouraged by a couple of pretty lucky "educated guesses" and before I could even think was looking at a screen that I had answered 12 in a row - "Would I like to take a small prize or go for the jackpot?". Now, at this point, I'd like to tell you that I was so full of confidence that I laughed off the small prize and confidently soldiered on, but I didn't. I quickly clicked the "take the money and run" button, but it didn't take. Probably has something to do with the batteries in my wireless mouse going low! Oh well, I clicked the "press on, fool" button opting to try for the jackpot by going 3 for 3 on the upcoming questions. I wish I could tell you that I remember the questions or even how hard they were, but I was wound up pretty tight and only focused on reading the question, answers and processing a choice in the 10-second time limit. My heart was pounding a little faster as I (as I recall) got through the first two. The final question came on the screen and "JACKPOT!" - it was a softball. The question was "What was Tom Cruise's profession in the movie 'The Firm'?". Attorney! Attorney! Attorney! I must have clicked that thing at least a dozen times. What a rush! It took a few seconds for it to finally settle in that I had just won a huge amount of money, so I did what any self-respecting computer geek would do - that's right, I took a screenshot. That baby is getting printed, framed and put next to the pictures of my kids on my desk! I'm joking - I don't have pictures of my kids on my desk. I immediately called my wife to let her know what happened. There was a long pause, during which I'm pretty sure I could hear her silently spending every penny in her head. I know I’m getting a new battery for my wireless mouse – so that’s $1.29 I’m not letting her near! I played a few more games after that just to cool off and went about my day. Thank you TriviaOnNet for a great multiplayer trivia game and thank you to your team who held my hand through the process of withdrawing my winnings - the entire process took less than 24 hours before the money hit my PayPal account. Simply amazing! Keep up the great work and I wish you nothing but success as you go forward. Sincerely, Dan R
